The year 2026 marks the beginning of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period and the first full year following the launch of island-wide independent customs operations at the Hainan Free Trade Port. Against the backdrop of this major development opportunity, Hainan’s tropical specialty and high-efficiency agriculture is entering a golden period of high-quality growth. As an agricultural technology company rooted in Hainan and focused on the full-chain operation of local specialty tropical crops and tropical vegetables, Hainan Yingtian Ark Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. is actively contributing to the modernization of Hainan’s tropical specialty agriculture through its “farm-to-table” production and sales model.

Strong Policy Support Creates New Opportunities for Industrial Development
The Hainan Provincial Plan for Accelerating Agricultural and Rural Development During the 15th Five-Year Plan Period was recently issued. Covering the years 2026 to 2030, the plan focuses on cultivating new quality productive forces in agriculture and opening up new pathways for the modernization of Hainan’s agriculture, rural areas, and farmers through five major dimensions, including upgrading specialty industries, promoting innovation in the seed sector, and expanding cooperation under the Hainan Free Trade Port framework.
The plan calls for strengthening competitive industries such as tropical fruits and vegetables and agricultural product processing, while leveraging the “Hainan Fresh Produce” public brand to integrate agricultural resources across the province.
At the same time, the Hainan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued application guidelines for agricultural development subsidies and incentive funds for 2026. Nearly RMB 300 million in funding will be directed toward three major areas: improving the aquatic seed industry, supporting agricultural enterprises in expanding their operating revenue, and advancing tropical specialty and high-efficiency agriculture.
Among these measures, one-time incentives will be granted to eligible agricultural enterprises whose annual operating revenue exceeds RMB 50 million for the first time. Support for tropical specialty and high-efficiency agriculture will cover eight specific areas, including the scaled development of specialty planting, agricultural product processing, international agricultural trade, and brand promotion.
In terms of brand development, Hainan is implementing a three-year agricultural brand enhancement initiative for “Hainan Fresh Produce” from 2026 to 2028. The year 2026 has been designated as the year for standards development. By 2028, the province aims to strengthen one provincial-level regional public brand and certify more than 100 “Hainan Fresh Produce” sub-brands.
At present, 130 enterprises have already been authorized to use the “Hainan Fresh Produce” brand, and an increasing number of local companies are moving toward premium markets, online sales channels, and overseas expansion.

Building a Full Industry Chain and Connecting Key Production and Sales Links
In line with policy priorities, Yingtian Ark has developed a complete business ecosystem around Hainan’s tropical specialty agricultural products.
At the production source, the company works with large-scale planting bases across Hainan. It is deeply involved in standardized pepper plantations and year-round vegetable bases growing products such as winged beans and shuzaicai. By making use of Hainan’s high temperatures, abundant sunlight, and selenium-rich red soils, the company maintains a stable supply of natural, seasonal, and freshly harvested agricultural products.
At the processing stage, the company has established its own facilities for sorting, cleaning, drying, processing, and packaging agricultural products. Dedicated processing procedures have been developed for pepper and fresh vegetables, supported by quality inspection checkpoints to ensure that products are clean, free from unnecessary additives, and true to their natural flavor.
On the sales side, the company has built an online retail presence through Douyin, WeChat Channels, WeChat Mini Programs, and other new-media platforms. Offline, it serves supermarkets, specialty stores, and restaurant supply chains. Supported by the logistics network and e-commerce policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the company is expanding its reach across the national market.
A Diversified Product Portfolio Showcasing Hainan’s Distinctive Produce
The company’s current product portfolio includes Hainan peppercorns, Qiaotou sweet potatoes, rambutans, yellow dragon fruit, Qinmi No. 9 golden passion fruit, Black Diamond wax apples, red-fleshed milk papayas, Jinhuang mangoes, and durian honey sweet potatoes, among other specialty agricultural products from Hainan.
Pepper is one of the most representative examples. Hainan is China’s largest pepper-producing region, and Penglai Town in Wenchang is one of its core production areas. The town has approximately 32,300 mu of pepper plantations, with more than 80% of local farming households engaged in pepper cultivation. Its annual pepper industry output value exceeds RMB 170 million.
The pepper products sold by Yingtian Ark are sourced from local planting bases in Hainan. The company’s white pepper has a mild, warm aroma, while its black pepper offers a stronger and more concentrated fragrance. The products are naturally sun-dried and are not treated with sulfur fumigation.
In the tropical fruit sector, Hainan’s tropical fruit industrial cluster has been included in a national-level development program. In 2025, the combined full-industry-chain output value of bananas, pineapples, durians, and dragon fruit reached RMB 16.185 billion.
Baoting County now has more than 50,000 mu of rambutan plantations, with annual output value exceeding RMB 580 million. Yingtian Ark’s Qiaotou sweet potatoes, rambutans, yellow dragon fruit, Jinhuang mangoes, and other products are sourced from Hainan’s core production areas. The company follows strict quality standards that emphasize natural ripening on the plant, with no artificial ripening and no premature harvesting.
Upholding Ecological Production and Promoting Shared Prosperity with Farmers
Yingtian Ark remains committed to the development philosophy of “ecological cultivation and farming, quality products for consumers, and shared prosperity with farmers.”
The company avoids the excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and manages food safety from the source. It also establishes stable procurement partnerships with local growers and improves benefit-sharing mechanisms, using industrial development to help increase rural incomes.
In its business operations, the company applies agricultural technology to optimize cultivation, primary processing, storage, and preservation procedures. It aligns its standards with the quality certification requirements of “Hainan Fresh Produce,” moves away from loosely processed and bulk-packaged products, and adopts standardized packaging and regulated quality control.Through these measures, consumers across China can more easily purchase authentic, high-quality agricultural specialties from Hainan.
Leveraging the Free Trade Port and Focusing on Distinctive “Small but Refined” Tropical Agriculture
Looking ahead, Yingtian Ark will continue to follow the direction set by the 15th Five-Year Plan for agricultural and rural development and the three-year “Hainan Fresh Produce” brand enhancement initiative.
The company will continue expanding its range of local specialty agricultural products from Hainan and further improve its integrated industry chain covering cultivation, processing, cold-chain logistics, and sales.
It will remain focused on the “small but refined” segment of tropical specialty agriculture, strengthen its core product lines in pepper and tropical fruits and vegetables, and help bring more high-quality “Hainan Fresh Produce” products beyond the island and into markets across China.
From the pepper plantations of Penglai in Wenchang to the selenium-rich sandy soils of Qiaotou in Chengmai, and from the Jinhuang mango farms of Sanya to the rambutan orchards of Baoting, Yingtian Ark is fulfilling its “farm-to-table” commitment through concrete action and contributing to the high-quality development of Hainan’s tropical specialty and high-efficiency agriculture.
